Uma coisa alarmante ocorreu no início deste mês de outubro. Tomei conhecimento de uma pesquisa que se iniciou em 2001 ! A pesquisa é sobre as conseqüências do consumo de frango de granja com alto teor hormonal. Os dados são alarmantes.

Todos sabem que os frangos de granja, tão baratos, que estão prontos pra abate em 40 dias ou menos, comem ração lotada de hormônios de crescimento (GH), dentre outros. Segundo os estudos do ministério da saúde estes hormonios afetam sobretudo as crianças.

As principais conseqüências do consumo de frango de granja são: Crescimento das glândulas mamárias, tanto em homens quanto em mulheres ; Encolhimento dos testículos ; Queda de Cabelo ; Impotência Sexual ; Endurecimento no fígado ; Má formação fetal  ; Hérnias ; Acelera Alzheimer ; Câncer ;.

Apesar destes dados, o governo impede a divulgação deste material todo e ainda espalha em vários artigos pela internet que não há hormonio nos frangos. Pura mentira. Basta ver os indícios por aí: Crianças de 12 anos com mais de 1,70, todos acima do peso, meninas entrando na puberdade com 10 anos, períodos de menstruação alterados ; homens atingindo puberdade tardiamente.

Há também uma pesquisa que liga o aumento do consumo de frango com o aumento da violência. Como é sabido, a testosterona está diretamente ligada ao comportamento agressivo masculino. O estudo mostra que o hormonio do frango ativa a área no sistema nervoso com esta função. É o efeito "Galo de Briga". Com o aumento do consumo de frangos no Brasil, as ocorrências de casos de violência doméstica triplicaram ! Depois de comer aquele frango no almoço, sente-se um mau-estar, impaciência, agressividade. A pessoa fica literalmente de pavio curto, culminando nos casos de violência.

Tem muita coisa lá que não deixam divulgar. Vários estudos censurados, eles não querem que o povo saiba.

É muita falcatrua !

Columnist Dan Caims, in his article "Bond themes: Can nobody do it better?," doesn't have a lot of good things to say about the Jack White/Alicia Keys collaboration.  Neither does he have any great love for any Bond theme song since McCartney & Wing's "Live and Let Die," from way back in 1973.  What's really interesting is his recounting of a discussion with David Arnold, wherein the current Bond composer pretty much confirms what we've all intuited: the marketing suits, and not the music personnel, are the ones making the decisions about theme song performers.  Caims refers back to relatively weak efforts by  a-Ha and Sheryl Crow trumping the superior work by The Pretenders and k.d. lang, as well as the thin beer of  "All Time High" and "For Your Eyes Only."

Personally, and the above examples work just fine for me, my thought is always been that EON always misses the mark when they try to manufacture a hit record, based on marketing research and charts analysis and other MBA stuff, rather than musical taste and artistic perception.  People love classic 007 tunes like "Goldfinger" and "You Only Live Twice" and "Diamonds Are Forever" and etc. because 1.) Oh, sure, they're expertly crafted commercial pop music, but, more importantly, 2.) They're evocative of the films themselves. You get a small dose of that ol' Bond magic when you hear the music, because it reminds you of the regular-size dose you received in the movie theater.  That's why we go for that stuff -- not because we're all big Shirley Bassey or Nancy Sinatra fans.  The best Bond theme songs are like the films they come from: they're lightning captured in a bottle.  Whenever the producers try to force the magic, it doesn't happen.

Check out the article.  Though some excellent and perceptive thinking in it, even if you don't agree with all of his examples or conclusions.

we seem to disagree on the trailer idea, but haven't really heard one another out and tested other possibilities. i'd like to say more about the thinking that led to my suggestion of trailers as a solution to many needs. i'm sure there are other solutions to these needs that you all can think of. i understand your concerns  - that they don't reflect our vision of demonstrating a natural way of life and some of the newer ones outgas (rugs, mostly, tho some wood treatment) so might not be healthy. I agree on both points, but i see them as an important shorter term solutions to several needs I can't at the moment see getting met with the structures wehave. Also, to the best of my knowledge (and i studied it when we built the UV) the outgassing is a shorter term phenomenon and once a trailer is a few years old that process is nominal - the FEMA trailers were new and shoddily built. I also understand that they are nowhere as nice to live in as all wood or other natural materials (at least when there isn't mold). So here are the questions I ask myself that lead to "trailer" as a possible solution:

1. where will we put guests?

2. where will we put interns?

3. where will any of us (except me as I have a whole little cabin to myself) get away for an hour from the hurly burly without driving/biking to scenic?

4. where does the time come to build a natural structure to fill these needs in the first couple of years when time needs to go into gardens, creating our plan, fixing the straw bale for britt and eric, and building community?

and more thoughts

1. we can move trailers anywhere on the land rather than siting a building before creating a master plan and finding it's in a poorly chosen location.

2. they can be over 200 sf and still not permitted.

3. seems like we can get one or two at far less cost in materials alone for a cabin.

4. they can produce some income to pay off our loans

5. they are self contained so people staying in there have kitchen, water, heat.

6. they don't preclude building wonderful natural structures in time just how and where we want them.

7. most are stick built with aluminum siding. they could have wood siding added for aesthetics.

So that's the unsent email. but here's the deal. I just looked again on Craig's List and I see just what they mean. From an aesthetic point of view. ugh.

Over a decade ago Dr. Corvalan decided to dedicate his life to what he describes as "feeling medicine." 

To go beyond the "thinking function" and get to what he calls the "feeling function."

If Obama wins this election, it will be an historic event in the United States. It will also reduce racism.

The government massive plan is not working and it is still too soon to tell. As Bush says, " they know what the problems are, they have the tools to fix it". The market is very volatile right now and it is going to take a strong President to bring this country out of the hole.

November 4th outcome will be dependent on smart voters who will keep the unemployment and the economic contition in these gloom times and leave the racism outside the voting booth.

Todo inicia con la inflación en Estados provocada por la mala administración del Presidente George W. Bush que al mandar imprimir billetes de más provoca que las personas tengan un acceso más rápido por parte de los bancos, pero esto se complica a la hora de pagar así que se inicia con un proceso de inflación.

Poco a poco esto va afectando a las empresas norte americanas hasta llegar a un punto de quiebre de las principales aseguradoras y bancos, es por eso que la Reserva Federal de Estados Unidos (FED) salió al rescate del mercado financiero el jueves y el viernes pasado junto con el Banco Central Europeo (BCE) para poder ayudar a las bolsas del mundo.

Para ello se inyecto capital en el sistema financiero como no se recuerda desde los días posteriores al 11 de Septiembre. Los motivos de esta crisis, sus causas y posibles efectos han sido un tema común en la prensa económica mundial.

Sin duda alguna esto afecta a México, pues con la recesión en E.U.A. muchos mexicanos que se encontraban trabajando ilegalmente en ese país tendrá que regresar a México buscando alguna posiblidad de empleo y si esto no es posible nos enfrentaremos a una nueva oleada de delincuencia.

Así que a la pregunta que nos enfrentamos es si todos los extranjeros que se encuentran trabajando en nuestro país también regresarán a su lugar de origen y así permitir que esos empleos sean dados a nuestros compatriotas o simplemente como es costumbre de las leyes mexicanas, se abrirán las puertas a más productos extranjeros hasta convertirnos en un estado más de los E.U.A. 

A. The Basic Premise

Salla's paper is entitled Eisenhower's 1954 Meeting With Extraterrestrials: The First Contact and Treaty with Extraterrestrials, and, like much of Salla's more academic work, it is thoughtful, thought-provoking, and an excellent summary of the various cases that have been made for the occurrence of this event. Its even tone avoids some of the more hysterical prose one sometimes finds associated with his work. Salla opens his paper with as apt a summary of the case for this meeting as any:

"There is circumstantial and testimonial evidence supporting Eisenhower's meeting with extraterrestrials and the start of a series of meetings that culminated in the signing of a treaty with a different group of extraterrestrials. The most intriguing circumstances surrounding Eisenhower's alleged winter vacation to Palm Springs, California from February 17-24, 1954. Firstly, the 'vacation for the President' which was announced rather suddenly and came less than a week after Eisenhower's 'quail shooting' vacation in Georgia. According to UFO researcher William Moore, all this was quite unusual and suggested that there was more to the one week visit to Palm Springs than a simple holiday. Second, on the Saturday night of February 20, President Eisenhower did go missing, fueling press speculation that he had taken ill or even died. In a hastily convened press conference, Eisenhower's Press Secretary announced that Eisenhower had lost a tooth cap while eating fried chicken and had to be rushed to a local dentist.... Moore's investigation of the incident concluded that the denitist's vist was being used as a cover story for Eisenhower's true whereabouts. Consequently, Eisenhower was missing for an entire evening and could easily have been taken from Palm Springs to the nearby Muroc Airfield, later renamed Edwards Air Force Base. The unscheduled nature of the President's vacation, the missing President and the dentist cover story provide circumstantial evidence that the true purpose of his Palm Springs vacation was for him to attend an event whose importance was such that it could not be disclosed to the general public. A meeting with extraterrestrials may well have been the true purpose of his visit."

And that, in short, is the "evidence" for this meeting, a meeting that Salla rightly points out was first alleged by one Gerald Light in a letter to Borderland Science dated April 16, 1954. Since then, the original allegation of a February 20, 1954 meeting with "ET" has been dressed up a bit, to include two different races of ETs - the usual "greys" and the humanoid "Nordics" - vying for Eisenhower's diplomatic attentions, with the "nordics" serving dire warnings about the "greys" and not willing to enter into technology exchanges with the USA, and the "greys" - with whom an eventual treaty was allegedly signed - willing to do so in exchange for the right to "abduct" a limited number of the population and perform their now well-known "medical experiments" on humans. And of course, along the way, we are feted to a quotation from General of the Armies Douglas MacArthur, from his well-known "ET" warning speech: "We speak in strange terms, of harnessing the cosmic energy, of ultimate conflict between a united human race and the sinister forces of some other planetary galaxy. The nations of the world will have to unite,for the next war will be a interplanetary war. The nations of the earth must someday make a common front against attack by people from other planets."

B. The Basic Case

Note what we have:

(1) A sudden vacation of President Eisenhower during Feb 17-24, 1954, to southern California, where,

(2) on the night of Feb 20, 1954, he allegedly visits ETs and out of this a treaty eventually and allegedly is signed with "the greys" to allow abductions in return for technology exchanges, a technology exchange which the more humanoid "nordics" refused.

C. An Anecdote from Argentina and an Alternative

But as I mention in my forthcoming book from Adventures Unlimited Press, The Nazi International, there is anecdotal evidence and stories from local Argentines that Eisenhower paid a visit to the country in 1954, ostensibly for the purpose of visiting a massive hotel-in-the-middle-of-nowhere with a strangely unique German aspect. The hotel, a picture of which is in the book, courtesy of Mr. Harry Cooper and Sharkhunters International, was built prior to and during the Second World War. While not going into the details here (you'll have to wait for the book for those!), this region of Argentina became somewhat of a postwar Nazi International "Vatican", and a visit to there by Eisenhower certainly raises eyebrows. While there is nothing in the President's schedule during that year - much less during the alleged "ET summit" in February 1954 - that suggests or immediately sustains such a view, it cannot be easily discounted, either. Clearly, something was afoot and amiss with the vacation of February 17-24, 1954, and "ET" is not a likely explanation, but aliens- in the sense of "foreigners" - might be the reason. While Eisenhower was not known publicly to visit Argentina until 1960, the possibility that he did so in 1954 - and to this particular region of Argentina no less, and during a suspicious time frame at that (again, you'll have to wait for the book to see why this time frame is significant!) - and that he was contacted by "humanoid" nordic "ETs" does raise the disturbing possibility that the refusal to share advanced technology may not have come from extraterrestrial sources at all, but from something far more terrestrial, far more human, and much less undefeated than standard history would allow.

And this, of course, puts President Eisenhower's departing warning to the American people in a chilling perspective: "In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."

In the light of that solemn warning, and the dark historical context of secret summits and secret trips to unknown wilds of Argentina, the question that I first raised in my book Reich of the Black Sun now occurs yet again, and with an even deeper and uglier significance: Just whose military-industrial complex was he really warning about? Howsoever one parses his remarks - whether that of conventional analysis or the more speculative "ET" version of Dr. Salla, or my own "Nazi International" reading of his remarks - the warning hovers ignominiously in 2008 over an America increasingly fascist in its politics and mores, and increasingly isolated and resented by the rest of the world which sees through the panicked masques of the Anglo-American financial plutocracy to something more sinister, more familiar, and more self-evidently evil...

....something wearing armbands, and a swastika. It is a symbol that casts a haunting shadow over the late President's remarks about a "disastrous rise to power" and his equally stunning statement that we should "take nothing for granted." On the reading of events given here, the German-American boy from Abilene, Kansas, who had fought that disastrous "rise to power" of a formidable military industrial complex, who rose to be President, and who, if local Argentines are to be believed, visited the Nazi International's "Vatican" sometime during 1954, came himself to take "nothing for granted," not even his own victory over that power he may once thought was once and forever defeated.

As they say....keep that dial right here.

Lo scorso Venerdi, all' interno delle sale dell'Hotel Continentale si è svolto il Convegno sulla Scuola, richiamando i punti di forza della riforma voluta dalla responsabile del Dicastero istruzione e Ricerca.

In sintesi ecco i 4 punti chiave della riforma:

1. Ritorno al voto di Condotta
2. Ritorno all'educazione Civica
3. Tornano i voti in pagella
4. Torna il Maestro Unico.

La riforma è incentrata sull'aspetto della responsabilità_ responsabilità fra i banchi di scuola adottando misure più efficaci ed idonee per contrastare fenomeni di devianza _ responsabilità come materia di studio attraverso lo studio dell'educazione civica_ e  responsabilità politica per un miglior utilizzo dei fondi pubblici destinata alla formazione delle nuove generazioni.
